In 2020 while seeking a change in lifestyle, Loubna began practicing throwing clay religiously everyday for 6 months on a handmade wheel crafted by her father. Upon mastering the skill, she began teaching wheel throwing to beginners in her home pottery studio in Casablanca, Morocco and in 2022 she relocated to Canada to join clayArt Studios.

 

In her own words: “I truly enjoy throwing more than anything. And most of time, I do it for the peace and not the piece. But creating things out of mud is very rewarding too. I enjoy creating both functional and decorative pieces. I tend to be very minimalist with colors and appreciate textured pieces.”
