clayArt Studios' Junior Instructor
Michaela’s interest in pottery began with enrolling in an 8-week course at clayArt Studios. She has since grown into a curious and passionate potter and is now a member of the studio. She enjoys the calmness of wheel throwing, experimenting with glaze combinations, and creating functional items in creative ways. Her love of coffee has inspired her to make various styles of coffee mugs and other vessels for caffeine.
Michaela attended school for the violin at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts and continued her education at Dalhousie where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She then moved to Australia to complete her Master of Physiotherapy Studies degree and is now settled in Toronto locally in The Junction.
Michaela enjoys the parallels that physiotherapy and pottery share and teaches various classes at clayArt Studios
