clayArt Studios' Senior Instructor
Madison began taking pottery classes in an attempt to enjoy some peace and quiet away from her children once a week. 5 years later, clay has become a dominant and very meaningful part of her life.
Her work is focused on functional wheel thrown pieces that serve a purpose while also being visually interesting. With a strong emphasis on curves, crisp angles and definition, she aims to create a weird sort of beauty, (and sometimes regular beauty), in ordinary objects.
Madison has a background in acting, where she spent over a decade working in film and television across Canada. As that chapter ended, she found pottery, and is so grateful for the opportunity to dedicate her life to a new craft.
